Microsoft Patch Tuesday Updates
Microsoft has released updates and patches for a total of 128 vulnerabilities on their “Patch Tuesday” for the month of April. These patches are for Windows, Defender, Office, Exchange Server, Visual Studio and Print Spooler, among others.
10 of the 128 patches are rated as Critical, 115 are rated important and 3 are rated as moderate. One flaw is listed as publicly known and another was still under the attack at the time of release.
The 128 patches are in addition to the resolution of 26 other vulnerabilities on Microsoft’s Chromium-based Edge Browser since April 1st.
The one flaw currently still listed as under attack (CVE 2022- 24521) is a flaw dealing with elevation of privileges in the Windows Common Log File System (CLFS) discovered by researchers at the NSA and CrowdStrike.
